ENTREPRISE ; ENVIRONNEMENT ; INDUSTRIE DU LUXE SECTEURRésumé : Time has always been fascinating to mankind, and precisely measuring it has been a long-lasting challenge for people all over the world. From the first sundial dating back from 1450 BC in Egypt to modern high-end timepieces, watchmaking has been developing for millenniums. Watchmaking has always been in constant evolution, and new technologies still appear to this day. Nowadays, the industry still proposes a wide variety of products at all prices, from small quartz watches worth a few dozen dollars, to smartwatches that can keep track of the user’s health, to exceptional and complicated multi-million dollars mechanical timepieces, therefore making watches a popular collector’s item. In 2020, the UNESCO even registered mechanical watchmaking on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO, 2021). Nowadays, time is displayed everywhere, and with the democratization of smartphones, some people might find it useless to spend money on a watch. However, the market is far from dying; as a matter of fact, it has been rapidly growing over the last few years. According to Business Wire (2022), it represented about 60.5 billion dollars in 2020 and is expected to reach 73.4 billion dollars in 2027, with a predicted compound annual growth rate of 2.8%. With the evolution of the Internet, the passion for watches has been spreading through blogs and social networks, and watches have become more of a fashion item than a useful tool. With such a huge industry, it is obvious that watchmakers utilize a lot of different types of resources. Most of the watches are made of plastic, metal, and electric components while the more luxurious ones are made of precious metals, diamonds, and other scarce resources. With sustainability, the environment and ethics being some of the most important topics of the twenty first century, it is important to assess the extent of the damage done by this industry (which is approximately the same economic size as Luxembourg’s growth domestic product) and to ask ourselves how watchmaking companies can position themselves and adapt to the current environmental and social contexts and their challenges. In order to answer such a question, we are in the first place and with the help of existing literature, going to assess the current state of the industry and define the topic of this dissertation and its keywords to overall put our problematic in context. To achieve this, we will use different resources, such as past research, articles, reliable online information and companies’ reports, but I will also use personal knowledge I acquired over time, as I have been closely following the evolution of the industry for a few years. ENVIRONNEMENT ; TECHNOLOGIE FINANCIERE ; ETABLISSEMENT FINANCIER SECTEURRésumé : The 2015 Paris Agreements, resulting from COP 21, have put the banking sector under pressure and prompted it to rethink its activities to contribute more effectively to the fight
against global warming. Indeed, the banking sector plays a key role in promoting sustainable development. For instance mainly through the provision of resources to green projects and the management and distribution of sustainable responsible investment funds to ensure the funding of sustainable development goals. As a fundamental intermediary in the economy, it can influence the direction and the pace of such development by its customers, but also by its business model.
For this reason, there has been extensive literature on the contribution of banks to the fight against climate change (Nassiry, 2018, Aracil et al, 2021, Tao et al, 2022).
Seven years after the 2015 Paris Agreement, it is, therefore, legitimate to ask where the most polluting French banks stand concerning the challenges posed by global warming. The
objective of this seminar paper is to answer the question: How is the French banking sector addressing the impact of climate change? This is done through a case study of three of the main French banks: BNP Paribas, Société Générale, and BPCE.To answer this question, we first review the international agreements governing the banking sector's consideration of climate change, as well as French legislation in this area. Then, we examine financial innovations, more particularly fintechs, insofar as they are considered to contribute incidentally to the development of more sustainable finance. We also review various attempts and initiatives in the banking sector to make it more responsible, including
green fintechs, but also the emergence of responsible neo-banks as well as traditional banks positioned exclusively on ecology and responsible investments.
Before concluding, the last part of the paper is devoted to studying the case of three French banks to analyze to what extent and with what strategy they are striving to respect the terms of the Paris Agreement. We do so through four components required by the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD): governance, strategy, risk management, and indicators and targetsProgramme : PGE-Reims Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=571593 How transportation costs became at stake over the past months, and are there alternative sustainable solutions ? / Quentin LANGLOIS / 2022

FRAIS ; TRANSPORT ; ENVIRONNEMENTRésumé : Drawing on liberal economic theories, we will begin by understanding why the global supply chain is constructed in this way. Then we will study the evolution of transport modes to understand the impact of the container on our current economy. We will then analyse from an economic point of view the effects of covid 19 on the supply chain. Its initial impact, and the resulting snowball effect that still exists today, even though containment has been completed for over a year. Its lasting impact and
all the issues it raises.Faced with the problems caused by this crisis, we will then propose various solutions to avoid encountering again the problems linked to international transport, the explosion of prices, and the impact on product availability. The three solutions are: relocation, new suppliers, and new means of transport. Each of the solutions will be discussed in order to highlight all the issues, ins and outs, so that each company can choose the most suitable one for its supply chainProgramme : PGE-Reims Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=572176 In what way green bonds really make it possible to finance the ecological transition? / Nathan SANNIER / 2022

ECOLOGICRésumé : In what way green bonds really make it possible to finance the ecological transition?
In order to answer the question as well as possible, I decided to analyse the so-called "green" funds of the company AMUNDI, from its beginnings until today, to really understand the use of these bonds and to know if they are effective. In the first part we will look at the history of green bonds, their actors, their limits and their potential through analytical articles and academic papers.Secondly, we will analyse AMUNDI's green bond funds, its evolution, limitations and problems encountered. Finally, we will correlate the theory, the analysis of the articles and the result of our case study of AMUNDI to confirm whether finance has an impact on the ecological transition.Programme : PGE-Reims Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=571590 Paris 2024: Green Olympic Champion ? ENVIRONNEMENT ; FRANCE ; SPORTRésumé : 2 years ahead from the next edition of the Summer Olympic Games which will take place in Paris 2024, sustainability concerns are rising while the Organizing Committee is trying to reassure through the communication on their “Environmental Excellence”. Actually, they promised to be the first Olympic Games aligned on the Paris Agreement on climate and thus, to have a positive contribution for climate. The purpose of my study is to understand and analyze how the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games of Paris 2024 is going to keep up with this promise.
This paper has explored the relationship between sustainability and the Olympic Movement over time. Then, the potential environmental damages that Olympic Games can have been exposed before investigating the promises made by the OCOG in the bid document in 2016.
The qualitative research carried out through interviews enabled us to understand the justifications for the sustainable strategy and the key decisions and actions that have been already made in order to achieve the positive contribution for the climate. Finally, we pointed out that efforts have to be made on the awareness of the Olympic Games and the communication about all the methods of Paris 2024 in order to keep up with their promises.Programme : MSc Global Management Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=565317 Socially responsible investment / Assia CHERRAJ / 2022PermalinkThe effects of climate change and the management of financial risks for the banking industry / Paul MURINGER / 2022PermalinkThe issue of greenwashing in the energy industry / Marie HAYTER / 2022PermalinkThe real impact of green finance on decarbonization : the case of green bonds / Brenda TEMATIO / 2022PermalinkThe relationship between environmental score and financial performace / Min ZHANG / 2022PermalinkLa transparence des comptes financiers des entreprises: les aciéries et le cas Ilva-Arcelormittal / Mariana DE SANTO / 2022PermalinkWhat are the controversial aspects of luxury fashion brands trying to adopt a sustainable strategy?
