Résumé : |
This paper intends to study the existing relationship between economic growth and entrepreneurship and more particularly how the boom phase of business cycle can impact routine emergences and so biased the entrepreneurial action? Starting with the conclusion of the existing pro-cyclical relationship between business cycle and economic growth, we study entrepreneurial action through the routinization theory. According to new entrepreneurial theory, entrepreneurs analyze emergent routines to establish their entrepreneurial action. We will see that the boom phase of business cycle directly influences routine emergence, due to market distortion or cognitive bias for instance. Finally, through the case study of two companies: Take It Easy and Iridium, we analyzed how these distortions are expressing in reality and how they can lead company to failure. Take It Easy and iridium are both companies that had all the qualities to succeed but failed in partially due to distorted routines. |
