MANAGEMENT ; ORGANISATION DU TRAVAIL ; PERFORMANCERésumé : The environment has changed due to several external factors, but the Taylorism and Fordism keeps being strongly present in the organizations.
The question here is to understand if there is any alternative to the Fordism and the Taylorism, especially if a decompartmentalized organization is, and if it is performing as much as the division of labour used to. In order to find answers to our questions, two qualitative interviews will support our researches.
What has been found is that yes, decompartmentalized functions allows enhancing the performance of the company. However, the definition that people have in mind needs to be reviewed. The definition of productivity is not fixed. Performance does not mean productivity here but this is the link between the environment and the company because nowadays everything is coming from customers. So the performance correspond with the expectations of the customers and how to be able to better understand and answer to its. The satisfaction is one of them as the reduction of delays. In an organization such as the Fordism, everything is so rigid that you cannot adapt to your environment and matches with your customers’ needs.
In addition to that, the decompartmentalization retains workforce and requalify them.
However, decompartmentalization has some limits and cannot be used without a good structure to avoid the company to be too much complex and for the employees not to be lost in their roles and tasks and their contribution to the company.
Decompartmentalising seems to be a useful idea. However, some other organizations exist, as the Lean Production based on saving each waste. It sounds like a neo Fordism, but would it be in addition to the decompartmentalization or in a competition with it?Note de contenu : Bibliographie p.25 Programme : PGE-Reims Spécialisation : Pilotage de la performance et Conseil Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=494009
