The second is to give an opinion and recommendation on whether or not L’Oreal stock are currently worth buying. With an historical and data-driven approach, this paper examines L’Oréal’s financial performance among its peers from the Cosmetic Industry. Quantitative data analysis techniques are used to analyze profitability, growth and performance of the companies. In order to represent reality as faithfully as possible, the data are studied over a period of five years, using statistical tools such as weighted averages and annualized growths. These companies do indeed have high valuation ratios. But the market is growing and earnings are still rising. Even during periods of recession, it has proved resilient. Companies both enjoy high growth and profitability. Furthermore, macroeconomic, demographic and cultural trends suggest that the market will continue its relentless growth.
