This paper investigates the Banks capital structure decisions and the factors influencing it. banks tend carry a high amount of debt because of their core activity, but also because some are perceived as too big to fail. The study focuses on 18 commercial banks capital structure, using data from 2014 to 2019.
The analysis relies on a regression model, based on a specific factor (Size) and its impact on capital structure using leverage as a measure.
This study also offers insights on factors affecting banks’ leverage and how big banks that are perceived as too big to fail use their network and reputation. |
