A qualitative study has been conducted in order to understand more deeply its leading role and how it works in this particular environment, using the case study of the company BlaBlaCar to answer the question of how to build trust on a sharing economy platform. This study is based on a series of standardized open-ended interviews. Interviewees were asked questions constructed in order to allow open-ended answers. The results demonstrated the importance of trust in the eyes of the consumer on this type of platform as well as highlighting the important components of its development.
