Résumé : |
This Seminar Paper aims to studying the behaviour of CSR-oriented companies during a crisis, and in particular during the corona virus health crisis. CSR has an impact on the financial health of a company and it is particularly during a period of crisis that this phenomenon is interesting to study. In connection with this, we will compare within the same sector several companies more or less committed to CSR in order to observe their results and how they have been affected by the health crisis.
We will focus more on how CSR companies fare during a crisis by looking at the different facets of sustainability and how companies score in these different aspects of CSR. The results show that within the same sector, CSR companies that have a higher human capital development score than the sector average outperformed during the corona virus crisis. However, these results are qualified by the presence of some particularly profitable and not very virtuous companies. The CSR policy of a company depends strongly on its financial means and a CSR oriented company is not necessarily more financially sustainable, especially in times of crisis. |
