Although many scholars have investigated the influence of corporate social responsibility on work meaningfulness, there has been relatively minimal research regarding the specific dimension of employee-oriented CSR on work meaningfulness. Moreover, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we observe an expansion of teleworking. Considering the research gaps and the emergence of new way of working , in the present research we examine why teleworking may reduce the positive benefits of CSR oriented employees on work meaningfulness. Therefore, we investigated the moderator role of teleworking and perceived organizational tasks support on this relationships. Utilizing survey-based data, this study analysed the responses of 111 employees working in different type of companies such as Saint-Gobain which is a multi-national firm and PMEs. Results showed that there is a positive relationships between employee-oriented CSR and work meaningfulness. However, the moderator roles of teleworking and perceived organizational telework task support have no impacts on the interactions between employee-oriented CSR and work meaningfulness. The findings suggest that employee-oriented CSR practices should be an important investment from the organization to foster work meaningfulness. |
