It aims to identify challenges, success factors and opportunities for the enhancement of Urban Farms. The city of Paris was chosen for the growing number of initiatives related to Urban Farming as well as the growing support of the Paris town hall for the sector. Four structured interviews of four Urban Farms’ employees are the main source of data. Main findings conclude that the Business Models of Urban Farms in Paris are mainly based on the diversification of products and services and that the balance between not-for-profit services and viability is hard to find. It is important to mention that this paper uses only a small sample of the local sector for the study of the viability of the Business Models of Urban Farmsin Paris. I believe broader studies are necessary to gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
