On the one hand, there are increasingly demanding consumers who need to be satisfied in terms of nutritional quality, dietary ,diversity and, above all, transparency of production processes throughout the food chain, including their environmental and social impact. On the other hand, there are health, environmental and demographic challenges to be met at the food level, it means how to provide quality food products while preserving the environment and the resources needed to feed a rapidly growing population. In this study, we will therefore analyse: (RQ1) Can new data technologies be a solution to current food issues (environmental, demographic and health)? (RQ2) How can these technologies help companies' strategies to satisfy customers in the current context?The results of this work answered these questions and showed that data analytics do have a positive impact on the different stages of the food supply chain (planting, breeding, transport, sale and consumption).
