In addition, it will explore the enabling environment needed of achieve sustainability, including the urgent need for human rights regulations in the workplace and eco-friendly policies in order to adapt to international standards of commercial practices. On the other hand, it will also show us that the cocoa sector in Ecuador is an important subject to examine but lacks collaboration, involvement, and global commitment to solve challenges in the environmental field. The content of this research work is the result of a long investigation carried out for months in the field of commercial practices, the exports and imports of cocoa in Ecuador and France, written and video consultations about companies focused on the cocoa sector and a large amount of data and information collected from the websites of cocoa and chocolate companies, as well as from foreign trade ministries, chambers of commerce and integration associations of international trade.
