CLIMAT ; ENVIRONNEMENT ; FINANCE VERTERésumé : While we are witnessing the emergence of green finance, little is known about its real implication and effectiveness in terms of environmental commitment. Green finance covers all financial operations whose purpose is to promote the energy transition and fight against global warming. It is composed of a set of financial instruments such as green bonds, sustainability bonds, green loans, sustainability?linked loans, etc. The objective of these financial instruments is to support the efforts of governments and companies to decarbonize their activities. Green finance also encompasses investment strategies such as socially responsible investment (SRI) and impact investing. Given the strong growth of the green market, we wondered what its real impact on decarbonization was? To answer this question, we focused our analysis on the impact of green bonds on decarbonization. Indeed, green bonds are the flagship tool of Green Finance. They are debt-type financial instruments whose proceeds are used to finance "green" projects/assets. They bring together several actors on the market in order to ensure their development, and thus have a greater impact on decarbonization. However, several studies show that their development is limited by various factors, the most important of which are the lack of market standardization and greenwashing. We therefore turned to financial professionals to find out their
opinion on the subject. To do so, we conducted a questionnaire on an international scale. According to the different opinions, the main limits to the development of green bonds are mostly attributed to the lack of standardization of standards, the divergence of ESG ratings and greenwashing. Finally, we conclude in this paper that despite the strong growth of the green market, its impact on decarbonization is still limited.Programme : PGE-Reims Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=571570
