BENIN ; POLITIQUE INTERIEURE ; DEVELOPPEMENT ECONOMIQUERésumé : This research paper explores the informal sector in Benin, a sector that remains important and essential in many developing economies.
Initially, through an extensive literature review, the essay highlights the different theoretical approaches to defining and understanding the informal sector, its economic and social importance, and its impact on millions of informal workers. The essay also examines the different perceptions of the informal sector depending on a country's region or level of development. The challenges faced by governments and other players, and the public policies put in place to regulate or integrate it, are also discussed. The study focuses specifically on the case of Benin, assessing the informal sector's contribution to national production and job creation. It examines the implications of the informal sector for the country's economic development and raises the question of the positive impact of economic formalization on workers' well-being.Programme : MSc Global Management Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=581704 L’impact de l’E-administration sur la performance publique des services administratifs Gabonais / Margot BARAT / 2022

AFRIQUE ; ECHANGES INTERNATIONAUX ; DEVELOPPEMENT ECONOMIQUERésumé : At the Africa-France summit that took place in France in Montpellier (34) on October 9, 2021, entrepreneur Eldaa Koama met with French President Emmanuel Macron. She gave a speech in which she stated that "Africa will develop by itself through healthy collaborations, through our strength of innovation and creation"1 . Through this speech, the Burkinabé speaker illustrates the vision of young Africans regarding the dynamics of development in Africa. It is the aspiration to an emancipated development, based on healthy cooperation relations, especially economic, between the European and African continents. She denounces the current way in which European companies manage people and projects in formerly colonized African countries. If the young woman denounces the mode of cooperation so far in place between the two continents, it is because in the European conception, the African continent has often been perceived through a utilitarian prism: sometimes a reserve of manpower, sometimes a pit full of raw materials, the perception of this continent by foreigners is distinguished by a particularly utilitarian vision. It should also be noted that French policy in Africa is often justified by its own interests, considering for example an interventionist policy as an indirect defense against terrorism or immigration. Europe and Africa thus share a stormy past, marked by this dichotomy between European and African development over the centuries, which taints their present relations. This speech by Eldaa Koama during the Africa-France summit is a good reflection of the problems perceived by a part of the African population. AFRIQUE ; AGRICULTURE ; INDUSTRIERésumé : Africa is experiencing increasing difficulties in obtaining wood. Desertification of forest areas and deforestation are commonplace. In the hinterland, wood collection is difficult due to the massive exploitation of forests as raw material by companies. Wood energy stays the principal wellspring of cooking energy in the South. In sub-Saharan Africa, it represents multiple quarters of family energy utilization.Combined with other factors such as extensive agriculture, the exploitation of fuelwood exposes forests to significant degradation and major environmental risks. For this reason, many projects are being developed to diversify household energy sources in order to reduce the pressure on forest resources. However, the substitution of traditional energy sources by other forms of energy is extremely difficult due to the poverty of the affected population. Households that choose to use wood fuel for cooking often do not have access to other energy sources, as they are too expensive or inaccessible Programme : Global BBA Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=566056 Dans quelle mesure les OIG peuvent elles participer à la stabilité et au développement dans les zones de conflits ?
