INDUSTRIE DU LUXE SECTEUR ; STRATEGIERésumé : How did the business of luxury become a global powerhouse? Author and journalist Astrid Wendlandt conducted a four-year investigation into the secretive world of fashion and luxury involving hundreds of interviews with top executives and designers. How Luxury Conquered the World explains how this industry has become one of the pillars of the global economy, putting it on a par with Google, Amazon, Facebook and Apple combined in terms of job creation and economic might. Karl Lagerfeld, the last great couturier, shares his thoughts in an exclusive interview. Three pioneers reveal what it takes to turn a small maison into an international brand: Alain-Dominique Perrin, Jean-Louis Dumas and Yves Carcelle, who respectively built Cartier, Herme`s and Louis Vuitton. These hugely successful business empires would not exist if consumers did not crave social recognition and status symbols. Then three contemporary leaders confide their ambitions and their doubts: Jose´ Neves, founder and CEO of fashion and luxury online giant Farfetch; Ralph Toledano, chairman of the French Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion and of British brand Victoria Beckham; and Jacques von Polier, author of the renaissance of Raketa, Russia’s oldest watchmaker. Through the prism of their own experiences, each one of these “Magnificent Six” tells a bigger story about the mysterious, magical and ruthless world of luxury. COMPORTEMENT DU CONSOMMATEUR ; DEVELOPPEMENT DURABLE ; STRATEGIE ; INDUSTRIE DU LUXE SECTEUR ; CUIR SECTEUR ; FRANCERésumé : This seminar paper deals with the theme of “marketing strategies to promote sustainable consumer behaviour” and more specifically with the vegan luxury. Because sustainability is a global concern that involve all the sectors, even luxury, it is important to know the new consumers behaviours. The question here is to know if there is market potential in vegan luxury leatherwork in France. To answer this question, I worked on previous research papers and existent resources that allows me to prove the relevance of the subject. Then, I have conducted a survey on 360 people living in France to understand their motivations to buy luxury products and their perception of vegan luxury leatherwork. This survey leads me to understand the different groups within the veganism movement and how much people that are defining themselves as flexitarian cares about environment friendly and sustainable products. I also made a surprising statement: 50% of the people who are interested in vegan luxury leatherwork products do not know any brands that is selling this kind of products. At the end the conclusion is that there is a potential market on vegan luxury leatherwork that needs to be explored by brands with a specific communication strategy: quality, sustainability and certified products.
