TECHNOLOGIE FINANCIERE ; INNOVATION TECHNOLOGIQUE ; PROGRES TECHNIQUE ; BANQUERésumé : Technology is constantly evolving and in the 21st century we have been able to witness its development and the progressive digitalization of a large amount of goods and services that we use on our daily lives and that have helped us develop the economies and welfare of our countries, as well as improve our living standards.
The financial industry is the one that has experienced more changes due to technology innovations in areas such as: insurance, investment management, lending, payments and banking services; all these with one common characteristic, they are related to software and data. These new financial tools which bring technology and traditional financial services come together in a term called “FinTech”. On top of that, new ways of financing have appeared filling the lack of innovation of traditional bank’s services and substituting what used to be physical work for computers that analyze the data provided to come up with the best financial solutions to the FinTechs clients in order to satisfy their needs. With this in mind, it is often said that the technological innovations related to financial products can represent a threat to the Financial Institutions and countries’ economies around the world. For that reason, the objective of this seminar paper is to analyze a few studies done about the evolution of FinTechs to be able to clarify some concerns that may arise from this topic. To do so, it will be necessary to discuss the results obtained by the studies done by the Audit Company EY in 2015 and 2017 about the FinTechs Adoption Index so that we will have an idea of which has been the development of the innovations in the industry. Subsequently, to be able to comment about the impact of FinTech start-ups in the financial industry, it will be developed an analysis about the results of Accenture’s survey related to the future of FinTech and Banking. After that stage, several papers from the Bank of Japan and the Australian Central Bank will be carefully interpreted to understand what role changes in this segment of the financial industry represent for economies. Finally, it seems necessary to forecast what it is expected to happen in the future and provide a personal opinion and some insights about the expected development of such an important phenomenon.Note de contenu : PGE: Bibliogr.P. 30-31 Programme : PGE-Rouen Spécialisation : Finance de marché - Financial markets, Assets and Risk Management Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=497037 Notion of cap : how is it related to performance of an ICO? / Jordanne Sandra TCHINDA TCHOFFO / 2019

CONCURRENCE ; MONNAIE ; MONNAIE ELECTRONIQUE ; TECHNOLOGIE DE RUPTURERésumé : My thought process for this paper began in March 2019, with the reading of two articles, one of Global Coin report of August 28, 2018 and the other of Coinist in which the authors define factors of success of the ICO . The Global Coin article states that a study was conducted by an intelligence company under the name Singularex; this study covered 1200 ICOs over the last three years. The purpose of this analysis was to reduce to 4 the 100 different factors that could have influenced the performance of an ICO. The variants are as follows: the popularity of the ICO site; its activity on Github (Github is a site that identifies potential ICOs using their code and was used by most experienced investors); the distribution of tokens (considering that the average was between 43% and 79 and the community). This article thus raised many important aspects that one would find in other journals. The second article, that of Coinist as for it, besides raising the variants of success of the ICOs also dwells on the elements likely to be at the origin of the failures of the ICOs. It should also be noted that in addition to the success stories mentioned in the first article, the cap. A rather quantitative data that could give more details to potential investors. Novice in the world of cryptocurrency, I remained unresolved at the end of these articles to ask me many questions. Why the concept of cap is really important? Is this a factor that could influence the performance of an ICO? Why do some promoters of ICOs not use it? How is it calculated? Is there a slice specific to each sector? Some quick searches on the Internet allowed me to define the concept of heading in an ICO, the precision in fixing this variant was not clearly specified in the articles and journals I consulted. The methods that seemed the most interactive were to read articles to understand the concept of heading and also to extract ICOs that were listed in an Excel document, and that was made available to me by the supervisor. So my extraction involved about thirty capped ICO and twenty uncapped ICOs. The purpose of this analysis was to show whether the success of an ICO is determined or not by setting its cap.
The difficulties were based on the fact that the subject was all unknown to me from the start, the information needed to complete the table was not easy to find and the concept of cap was not as familiar to the general public to proceed to a questionnaire. However the results of my analysis stipulate that the cap is a numerical variant that allows to locate the investor and the issuer itself on its objectives but this data alone is not enough to say that the performance of an ICO depends on whether it is capped or uncapped. In both situations, there are both successful and failed ICOs. Nevertheless, it is an element that is associated with several other factors that could constitute a performance criterion of an ICO.Note de contenu : PGE: Bibliogr.P.19 Programme : PGE-Rouen Spécialisation : Finance d’Entreprise - Corporate Finance Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=496377 La rentabilité du modèle bancaire européen est-elle intrinsèquement remise en cause ? / Louise MAUREAU / 2019PermalinkThe common characteristics of hacked coins / Assia HASNAOUI / 2019PermalinkThe common industries in dead coin / Hai Dang NGUYEN / 2019PermalinkTransforming Businesses With Bitcoin Mining and Blockchain Applications / BUSINESS SCIENCE REFERENCE (2019)PermalinkUnderstanding the Blockchain Economy / Chris BERG / EDWARD ELGAR (2019)PermalinkLes avantages de l’adoption des crypto-technologies au sein des banques / Marija DIMITROVA / 2018PermalinkBanks and Financial Institutions: the evolution of the regulations and the risk management since the 2000’s and their future in the financial markets / Florian MASNIN / 2018PermalinkBanks' future back-office workforce in the face of automation and artificial intelligence increasing implementation / Marie CORDENOD / 2018PermalinkLes banques face à leur avenir proche / EYROLLES (2018)PermalinkLes banques et le financement des entrepreneurs de l’Economie Sociale et Solidaire : entre engagement et intérêt / Pauline GOUJARD / 2018PermalinkBitcoin and Cryptocurrencies: Is there a sustainable future for Bitcoin as a currency? / David XYNOPOULOS / 2018PermalinkBitcoin & Cryptocurrencies: Predict the emerging and evolution of cryptocurrencies to analyze and forecast its energy consumption / Jeanne FISSEAU / 2018PermalinkBlockchain et cryptomonnaies / Primavera FILIPPI DE / Paris : Que sais-je ?
