However, it evolves in the very competitive market of the sparkling wines. One of the most dynamic markets for sparkling wines is the United States. In this market, champagne is not spared from the increased competition from other sparkling wines, particularly prosecco and American sparkling wines. Many writings show the differences between the various sparkling wines. Others explain the American market with great precision, particularly on the differences between generations and their relationship with wine and sparkling wines. A qualitative study of six interviews was conducted to further explore the sparkling wine market in the United States, including the competition of sparkling wines with champagne. Through the example of The Lion King, the most profitable musical of all time, I analyze the recipe for making a Broadway musical. But also, in light of the economic complications that such a model creates, I question the future of this genre and the future of the model, given the changing world in which we live. For this purpose, a qualitative study was conducted with 8 in-depth interviews to experts in Chilean wine exports, like domestic brands export managers, and wine distributors in foreign markets.Amongst the findings that this research was able to obtain are that heritage would not work as a driver for Chilean wine consumption due to an important competition with many other wine producing countries in the world. Findings also showed that Carménère has a very big potential for growth, but due to its young age,it is not possible to achieve this potential overnight. A last finding suggests that there are big opportunities for Chile to increase its wine exports by exploiting new emerging markets with very big potential.This paper can be very useful for Chile’s wine industry stakeholders,especially as it talks about new market opportunities for Chilean wine. Depending on the vulnerability , risk and profile in general , the regulatory framework tends to go from flexible to very strict and severe .One of the biggest institutional investors, that could be considered as encompassing a very defined regulation are pension funds, due to its nature as future retired income providers. However , it arises the possibility of widening the investment universe, specially for most regulated countries such as emerging markets. This paper, looks to stablish the impact of allowing a more flexible regulatory framework for pension funds asset allocation in emerging markets, applied to Chilean and Colombian cases. The positive impact of diversification and risk- return enhancement must be considered , as well as the effects that flexible regulation could generate within local capital markets. The analysis head to confirm that even if completely discretionary assets allocation for emerging markets is not the best solution it is possible to define a better assets allocation that improve the risk - return relation for investors and collaborate with the county’s economic development.
