FEMME ; PUBLICITE ; CORPS HUMAINRésumé : This research marketing paper aims to deal with the issues about the depiction of normal weight and plus-sized women in fashion advertisings and about the impacts on French female consumers. Are body inclusive advertisings as effective as thin body advertisings? Does size matter? Does the impacts of such body inclusive advertisings are more optimistic than thin body advertisings from a societal and business perspective? To tackle these research questions, I have conducted a qualitative method through individual interviews and photo elicitation. About 10 interviewees accepted to be part of the study. Results proved that French women do want to see more body diversity in fashion advertisings. The impacts of such are revealing: body inclusive advertisings enhance French women’s wellbeing and intention to purchase. However, there is no way to ban thin models from advertisings, the real concern with this study is to show a wider range of body types in fashion advertisings in order to allow each woman to identify herself with the models.

PUBLICITE ; BONHEUR ; CONSOMMATEURRésumé : This research contributes to the literature on the influence of emotions on the perception of
an advertising. The heart of the subject is to analyse whether happiness impacts the attitude
consumers hold towards an advertising depicting social superiority and towards the brand
depicted in it. The aim is to demonstrate that the more people are satisfied with their life the
more likely they are to hold a positive attitude towards the emphasis of social superiority.. We
also want to prove that the perception of authentic versus hubristic ride in the advertising has a
mediation effect in this relationship. Happiness influences how we perceive the ad and the
expression of pride displayed in it, which ultimately impacts our attitude towards this ad and
towards the brand.
The findings of this study will provide recommendations to marketing managers about
which emotions to convey through their advertising and what to take into consideration in the
design of these advertisings. More specifically, we want to inform them on whether social
superiority is a good element to depict in it if they want consumer to hold a positive attitude
towards the communication.Programme : PGE-Rouen Spécialisation : Tactique management et gestion face au réel Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=531696 How advertising made by French car manufacturers featuring few people of color impacts the attitude of French nationals of Sub-Saharan African descent toward car brands / Guillaume COLLIN / 2020

AUTOMOBILE SECTEUR ; PUBLICITE ; RACISMERésumé : The present seminar paper proposes to analyze the impact of the low representation of people of color on the attitude of French nationals of Sub-Saharan African descent toward car brands. Many studies were conducted in the US, but few have been conducted in France on this subject.
The literature review is divided in three parts. First the study of the target, its implantation in Europe and the faced issues. Then observations are made about the relation between this minority and the advertising. Finally, the automotive sector and its advertising environment are discussed.
Then, as a first step, researches makes it possible to identify and confirm the poor representation of minorities in the French visual world. Plus, interviews with the target shown that this low representation influences their perception of the brand but not only, it has an influence on the three pillars of the attitude model. These interviews also made it possible to see to what extent this minority was influenced by American culture and their integration of people of color, which contrasts sharply with the French way of thinking.
Finally, thanks to the gathered information, it was possible to make practical recommendations for car manufacturers’ future communication campaigns.
