Programme : MS Études & Décision Marketing Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=538835 Personalized Advertising and Privacy Concerns: Effects of Privacy Calculus in Digital Advertising / Alice LLABRES / 2021

PUBLICITE DIRECTERésumé : This seminar paper discusses data protection issues as personalized advertising continues to grow in the advertising industry. New regulations are forcing the industry to reinvent itself to integrate data protection into communication strategies while maintaining the same level of performance and offering immersive experiences to Internet users.
To address this issue, a quantitative study was conducted to understand the importance of data privacy to Internet users and the extent to which they would be willing to share their data to get advertising that better meet their needs and desires.
The statistical results show that finding personalized advertising intrusive has an impact on trust in the advertising industry. However, increasing the level of trust in advertising increases the perceived value of advertising while reducing the anxiety associated with sharing personal data.
Hence, the key element is to build a relationship of trust with Internet users, by clearly informing them about the way their data will be collected and the benefits of personalized advertising.Programme : PGE-Rouen Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=538470 The different ways of advertising in the perfume category: Illustrations vs celebrity endorsement / Thaïs MARTIN-FERMAUD / 2021

GUERLAIN ; CHANELRésumé : Perfume brands are one of the most important provider in terms of advertising especially on TV. Leaning on the luxury dimension, these advertising spot tend to be similar and all belonging to the same class. Some exception can be found in this area, it’s the case for the “La Petite Robe Noire” campaign by Guerlain whom motion design is made with illustrations. This paper aims to evaluate the efficiency of such illustrations on advertisement appeal and consumer attention compared to the traditional celebrity endorsement found in many perfume commercials.
To answer this problematic a quantitative study was led. Therefore, this paper tend to answer the question of if illustrations have an added-value for the consumer and so the brands.
This study used 2 commercials to compare the effect of illustrations on consumer in the perfume sector. The first one was obviously “La Petite Robe Noire” campaign and the second one “Coco Mademoiselle” by Chanel. The 2 commercials were showed to the respondents and were asked about the advertisement appeal towards the videos, their attention, their preferences…
The statistical analysis showed that there is a relationship between the use of illustrations and the consumer attention. Also, it appears that the use of illustration tend to influence more purchase intention than the use of celebrity endorsement in the perfume category.
This results leads to the conclusion that brands should be more original and use less celebrities or humans to focus more on motion design and illustrations to have a better communication campaign and efficiency.Programme : PGE-Rouen Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=539248 The impacts of the representation of ethnic minorities on advertising campaigns / Christelle MUDIBU / 2021

PUBLICITE AUDIOVISUELLE ; MINORITERésumé : The subject of representation of ethnic minorities is a hot topic, especially in France, as there is a ban on any data regarding race (INSEE, 2020). As France sees itself as one indivisible nation, it does not allow to make any differences between individuals (French Constitution, 1958). Yet, French institutes of statistics is regularly conducting surveys that highlights discriminations that face ethnic minorities in their day-to-day life (Défenseur des droits, 2020).
Few studies have explored the lack of representation of ethnic minorities, especially in the advertising field. Hence why, the purpose of this seminar paper is to gather data on the subject through already existing articles and also through answers collected from French people themselves, about whether or not they feel the advertising industry is accurately representing ethnic minorities. My hope is to bring more light to the issue of diversity in the advertising industry and its impacts both on brands and on the ethnic minorities at stake.Programme : PGE-Rouen Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=538481 The influence of origin mentions on terroir products packaging: the example of camembert / Agathe BRETON / 2021

COMPORTEMENT DU CONSOMMATEUR ; CONTROLE QUALITE ; EMBALLAGE ; FROMAGE SECTEURRésumé : Origin mention on product packaging can lead to different perceptions of a product. This paper proposes an analysis of the perceptions and purchase intentions for a specific cheese: the camembert.A quantitative study was conducted to research the possible link between an origin mention and consumers’ perception of camembert. The study used three similar camembert packaging with different origin mentions: one with a traditional origin, one with an alternative origin, and one with no origin. Participants were asked several questions about their product perception and purchase intention regarding each of the three packagings. The statistical analysis showed no significant results regarding the influence of the origin mention in general, but it showed that mentioning the traditional origin has a positive impact. On the contrary, mentioning another origin, that is less linked with the tradition will attenuate the effect. Some moderators have also been tested, and it showed that knowledge about the product leads to a preference for the AOC. The results lead to the conclusion that consumers prefer the camembert de Normandie and that it is linked to the origin mention. However, mentioning the origin not always has a positive effect.
