Note de contenu : Bibliographie p. 66-68 Programme : Cesem Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=499401 Leader narcissism and follower well-being : the impact of perceived organizational support / Margot KLEIN / 2019

LEADERSHIP ; QUALITE DE VIE AU TRAVAIL ; RELATIONS INTERPERSONNELLESRésumé : Grandiose narcissism is one of the most widespread negative personality traits among leaders. Their need for admiration and grandiosity pushes narcissistic leaders to engage counterproductive work behaviours against their organization and its employees. I wanted to prove that narcissistic leaders have a negative effect on their follower well-being. As well-being at work is partly defined by the organizational support, I wanted to show that there is a positive relationship between perceived organizational support and follower well-being at work. My research question was studying the impact of narcissistic leaders on their follower well-being moderated by the perceived organizational support. I tested my hypothesis through an online quantitative questionnaire send by email to follower/leader dyads from very different organizations. 96 dyads fully answered. The data gathered were not sufficient to prove my hypothesises but the results did not reject my assumptions either. More data are needed to transform my hypothesises into real statements.

Titre : Leadership Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita Type de document : e-book Auteurs : Ace SIMPSON Editeur : SAGE PUBLICATIONS Année de publication : 2019 Importance : 345 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-93-5328-688-0 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Management
LEADERSHIP ; MANAGEMENTRésumé : For professionals navigating negative corporate karmas, Leadership Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita offers a way forward for overcoming self-defeating habits and managing the mind’s negative chatter that is often the main obstacle to effective leadership. By promoting a leadership approach of caring for followers, stakeholders and future generations, the book offers hope for harmonious workplace relations and a protected environment. Based on leadership by inspiration as opposed to leadership by control, Leadership Lessons from the Bhagavad Gita provides an alternative to conventional leadership. Particularly, in the times we live, where there is a crisis of faith in leadership, the insights from this book presents a vision of linked-leadership—leaders who are linked through loving-connection or bhakti-yoga with themselves (through self-knowledge), with other beings, with nature and with the supreme source. As exemplified by Krishna taking over the reins of Arjuna’s chariot, the crux of this book is leadership, not as a title or position, but as a commitment to service, excellence and virtuous character that motivates and inspires others to pursue the same. The unique insights from this book will help you make sense of different personality types to motivate others according to their natures and inclinations, which will support you in forming effective teams and creating a harmonious and prosperous organizational culture. In short, this book challenges and equips leaders to step up and cultivate unity and diversity, and achieve sustainable wellbeing and happiness in their organizations.
Nombre d'accès : 2 Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=506748 PermalinkPermalinkPermalinkOutward Bound Lessons to Live a Life of Leadership : To Serve, to Strive, and Not to Yield Ed. 1 / Mark Michaux BROWN / Berrett-Koehler Publishers (2019)
