COREE DU SUD ; ELECTRONIQUE SECTEUR ; HAUTE TECHNOLOGIE ; MANAGEMENT ; SERVICE SECTEURIndex. décimale : 112.38 ENTREPRISE ETRANGERE Résumé : Forty years ago, they were a rickety Korean agricultural conglomerate that produced sugar, paper, and fertilizer. But when Chairman Lee Byung-chul was wowed by a young Steve Jobs in 1983 he quickly became obsessed with creating a technology empire of his own. Now Samsung employ over four times as many people as Apple, generate more revenue than Microsoft, make up more than 20% of South Korea's exports and sell more smartphones than any other company in the world. Yet their disastrous recall of the Galaxy Note 7, with numerous reports of phones bursting into flames, reveals the dangers of the company's headlong attempt to be number one at any cost.
Based on years of reporting on Samsung for the Economist, the Wall Street Journal, and Time and countless sources inside and outside the company, Geoffrey Cain provides the first sweeping, insider account of how a determined and fearless Korean competitor is poised to take on the giants of the Tech world.Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=592531 Exemplaires(1)

CLUSTER ; ELECTRONIQUE SECTEUR ; MATERIEL ELECTRONIQUE SECTEUR ; PRODUCTION AGRICOLERésumé : In this Seminar Paper you will find out how local producers have adapted to the digital age. They are modernizing in order to attract a clientele that cares about their well-being because feeling good comes first through their plate! Two hypotheses emerged during the Literature Review and help to build two questionnaires. Through analysis, the first hypothesis “Buyer’s don’t care about the evolution of their local producers “is not receivable whereas the second “local producers are using digital tools to increase their visibility and gain popularity “is. Consumers attach little attention to the presence of local producers on social networks, but they are convinced that using digital tools is helpful to increase producer’s visibility. The producer questionnaire results show that those who don’t make link between work and digital technologies know that it is an efficient means to increase their visibility. Paradoxal isn’t it? Producers are not fully conscious that they already use digital in their professional life. Local producers adapt themselves to digital age through their focus on customer needs and by using networks. Even if time is the main obstacle, they are aware that digital technologies are useful tools to make their business grown. ROBOTIQUE ; ROBOTIQUE SECTEUR ; AUTOMATISATION ; EUROPE ; HISTOIRE ECONOMIQUERésumé : From the dawn of European civilization to the twentieth century, the automaton - better known today as the robot - has captured the Western imagination and provided a vital lens into the nature of humanity. Historian Minsoo Kang argues that to properly understand the human-as-machine and the human-as-fundamentally-different-from-machine, we must trace the origins of these ideas and examine how they were transformed by intellectual, cultural, and artistic appearances of the automaton throughout the history of the West. Kang tracks the first appearance of the automaton in ancient myths through the medieval and Renaissance periods, marks the proliferation of the automaton as a central intellectual concept in the Scientific Revolution and the subsequent backlash during the Enlightenment, and details appearances in Romantic literature and the introduction of the living machine in the Industrial Age. He concludes with a reflection on the destructive confrontation between humanity and machinery in the modern era and the reverberations of the humanity-machinery theme today. "Sublime Dreams of Living Machines" is an ambitious historical exploration and, at heart, an attempt to fully elucidate the rich and varied ways we have utilized our most uncanny creations to explore essential questions about ourselves.
