CROISSANCE ECONOMIQUE ; FEMME ; PAYS EN DEVELOPPEMENT ; PRODUIT NATIONALRésumé : A theme of relevance for the society, especially in developing countries, is the economic growth in underdeveloped nations throughout the years, as well as poverty alleviation. Increased employment prospects result in higher demand for labor, the primary and frequently the only asset of the impoverished. In turn, providing faster growth has depended heavily on growing employment. However, there is a major disparity when it comes to how accessible the economic and legal systems are to women. Women almost always represent a significantly lower percentage in the labor force and face other issues that hinder their economic empowerment. Economic growth and women's empowerment go hand in hand; on the one hand, growth by itself can significantly reduce gender disparity; on the other, growth may be aided by the empowerment of women. This paper explores different policies for women empowerment in three developing countries, Indonesia, Honduras and Rwanda, and their link with employment and GDP indicators.
