Ce concept cherche à minimiser l’utilisation des ressources pour créer des produits neufs. Les producteurs de produits upcyclés fabriquent à partir de déchets et augmentent la valeur des matières grâce à leur transformation. Afin de réaliser ce travail, j’ai tout d’abord étudié l’économie circulaire, une économie qui souhaite réduire l’impact environnemental de la consommation. Comme l’économie circulaire, l’upcycling est motivé par le fait de vouloir réduire l’impact des productions. Après avoir identifié les différents concepts de l’économie circulaire comme la réutilisation et le reconditionnement, je me suis aperçue que l’upcycling se rapprochait beaucoup du concept de recyclage. Dans une troisième partie, j’ai voulu mettre en évidence la différence entre recyclage et upcycling. Enfin, dans une dernière partie, j’ai illustré mes propos précédents par des start-up de l’upcycling. J’ai également découvert un parallèle entre les entreprises de l’upcycling et l’économie sociale et solidaire. Ils s’avèrent que ces entreprises sont toutes intégrées à l’économie sociale et solidaire à différentes échelles. Ma question de recherche était donc « Dans quelles mesures une gestion plus vertueuse de nos déchets répond-­‐elle à des enjeux économiques et sociaux ? ». Mes recherches se sont concentrées sur ce que font déjà les acteurs de l’économie circulaire en termes d’actions sociales et de réussite économique mais également sur les opportunités futures qui allaient permettre de développer ce modèle. Afin d’illustrer les faits et données issus de mes recherches, je me suis appuyée sur les réussites environnementales, sociales et économiques de l’entreprise Lemon Tri et de sa filiale Lemon Aide que je connais bien puisque j’y réalise mon apprentissage. En interviewant un des co-fondateurs Augustin Jaclin, j’ai pu mieux comprendre les raisons qui poussent un entrepreneur à se lancer sur ce modèle mais également les clés qui font que le modèle peut réussir. Les résultats trouvés étaient plus ou moins ceux escomptés, mais je n’ai pas pu prouver la solidité économique de l’économie circulaire si elle devenait le modèle économique global. The announcement of attribution of Olympic Games is used as information by market analysts to evaluate the potential profitability for the city, the country, and the local companies. In this seminar paper, the announcements of 2020, 2024 and 2028 Olympic Games attributions to respectively Tokyo, Paris and Los Angeles were analyzed. The analysis was focused on the stock prices evolutions of the construction companies of the winner’s countries, opposed to the stock prices evolutions of the loser’s countries. Results indicate that the announcement of attribution of Olympic Games to one winner country is not always perceived as a positive signal for construction companies of this winner country, however the announcement of attribution of Olympic Games to one winner country is always perceived as a better signal for construction companies of this winner country than construction companies of the losers countries.Nevertheless, all the infrastructures to build in order to host the Olympic Games has to be a major opportunity for the construction companies. In order to demonstrate this proposition, we can ask ourselves the following research question: “What are the economic returns on the listed companies of the construction industry of the hosting countries opposed to the countries which lost their campaign, when the attribution of the hosting city is announced?” That is why, it seems interesting to analyze whether the announcement of attribution of Olympic Games are perceived as a positive signal for the construction companies by the market.
