Programme : PGE-Reims Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=538144
Titre : Routledge Handbook of Ecotourism Type de document : e-book Auteurs : David FENNELL Mention d'édition : 22ème Editeur : TAYLOR & FRANCIS GROUP Année de publication : 2021 Importance : 439 p. ISBN/ISSN/EAN : 978-1-00-043365-4 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Management
TOURISME SECTEUR ; ECOLOGIERésumé : This handbook presents a timely, broad-ranging, and provocative overview of the essential nature of ecotourism. The chapters will both advance the existing central themes of ecotourism and provide challenging and divergent observations that will thrust ecotourism into new areas of research, policy, and practice. The volume is arranged around four key themes: sustainability, ethics and identity, change, conflict, and consumption, and environment and learning, with a total of 28 chapters. The first section focuses on sustainability as a core ecotourism criterion, with a primary focus on some of the macro sustainability issues that have an impact on ecotourism. Foremost among these topics is the linkage to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, which have relevance to ecotourism as one of the greenest or most responsible forms of tourism. The chapters in the second section provide a range of different topics that pull ecotourism research into new directions, including a chapter on enriching indigenous ecotourism through culturally sensitive universalism. The third section includes chapters on topics ranging from persons with disabilities as a neglected body of research in ecotourism, to ecotourism as a form of luxury consumption. The final section emphasises the link between ecotourism and learning about the natural world, including a deeply theoretical chapter on rewilding Europe. With contributions from authors around the world, this handbook gives a global platform to local voices, in both developed and emerging country contexts. The multidisciplinary and international Routledge Handbook of Ecotourism will be of great interest to researchers, students, and practitioners working in tourism and sustainability. ECOLOGIE ; DEVELOPPEMENT DURABLERésumé : This Seminar Paper examines the surfing industry under the scope of Green Supply Chain Management practices to understand what has been done so far and its consequences both on economic and environmental performances. Through sourcing, manufacturing, packaging and transportation, the production of surfboards, wetsuits and surfing equipment has an important carbon footprint regarding the surfers' tendency towards a carbon free way of life.
This study shows how three companies managed to work on reducing their environmental impact throughout the whole supply chain with green sourcing, manufacturing, packaging, transportation and reverse logistics.
The research concludes that if improvements had been done in the past years, especially in small surfing companies, they remain quite low if we take the surfing industry as a whole. Those implementations along the supply chain barely affected the companies when it is negative or neutral, while it became a clear source of competitive advantage when the outcome was positive. Bigger surfing companies need to comply to surfers' expectations in terms of lower carbon footprint of their surfing equipment.

Programme : PGE-Rouen Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=538488
Titre : The blue economy financing sources : How does the financial sector face the challenges of a fast-growing sustainable Blue Economy? ECOLOGIE ; ECONOMIE SOCIALE ET SOLIDAIRE ; EXPLOITATION DU MILIEU MARIN SECTEURRésumé : “The 21st century will be a maritime century”.
This Emmanuel Macron quote highlights the Blue Economy critical role in shaping a new socio-economic paradigm for the ongoing century. According to the European Commission, the Blue Economy is the long-term strategy to support sustainable growth in the marine and maritime sectors as a whole. Oceans and coastal resources are the key drivers and represent an outstanding innovation potential. It involves sectors such as shipping, aquaculture, fishing, marine biotechnology or sustainable marine energies.
While ocean exploitation has always been a key issue, economic, military and social wise, this trend is accelerating under the 21st century’s sustainability challenges. Framed by the United Nations under the Sustainable Development Goals, they are the main Blue Economy catalyzers. They involve climate change mitigation, biodiversity protection, clean energies, social inclusion… Therefore, regarding the global commitment towards those sustainability issues, one can assume the Blue Economy has an outstanding growth potential.
However, it is not scaling up fast enough regarding its potential. While states, IGOs and development banks are accelerating their financing programs towards sustainable marine exploitation businesses, the lack of commitment from the financial sector is a key development obstacle. The financial sector is an economic section made up of companies and institutions providing financial services to commercial customers. It involves institutional investors, including banks, credit unions, insurance companies and pension funds, as well as private investors and asset management companies.
I would like to spot how critical it is to unlock the financial sector funding power to meet Blue Economy development needs. It involves a Blue Economy sector mapping and a current sector financial analysis to better understand how to have the financial sector to commit and what kind of innovative financing solution it could provide.Programme : PGE-Rouen Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=538451 What are the challenges of the implementation of reusable packaging systems for companies in the cosmetics industry? / Clémence JAMES / 2021
