COMPORTEMENT DU CONSOMMATEUR ; EMOTION ; MARKETING ACHATRésumé : In today's consumer-oriented world, marketing plays a significant role in shaping consumer behavior and influencing purchasing decisions. Companies in all sectors use the marketing mix to effectively link their offering to the market by creating a solid value proposition. Among the marketing mix levers, this study concentrates on the communication lever, in particular on advertising. Advertising specifically refers to the creation and dissemination of promotional messagesthrough various media channels, such as print, broadcast, and digital media, to reach a target audience, build brand awareness, and persuade consumers to purchase products or services. The advertising concepts, domains, and activities have changed widely in the last decades, due to the change in consumer behavior, the development and spread of new technologies and communication, and the increase in social consensus. Accordingly, definitions in the literature have been updated as well with regard tothe historical context. Nowadays, advertising can be defined as the “paid, owned, and earned mediated communication, activated by an identifiable brand and intent on persuading the consumer to make some cognitive, affective or behavioral change, now or in the future” (Kerr & Richards, 2021). Over the years, consumers have become increasingly desensitized to traditional advertising methods (Davis & Brotherton, 2013), such as interruptive ads during TV shows or pop-up ads on websites. As a result, companies have had to find new ways to capture and maintain the attention of their target audience. One effective method has been to leverage emotions in advertising. By creating emotionally engaging ads,companies can tap into the subconscious minds of consumers and establish a deeper connection with their audience. Emotions like joy, sadness, fear, or excitement can evoke a visceral response in consumers, making them more likely to remember the ad and take action. However, using attention-getting tactics might lead consumers to infer that the advertiser is attempting to manipulate or unfairly persuade consumers (Campbell, 1995). Therefore, companies need to be careful when leveraging emotions in advertising, in order to avoid an undesired effect on consumers. COMPORTEMENT ; NEGOCIATION ; STRESSRésumé : De nombreuses études sur les émotions dans les négociations ont déjà été menées, mais l'effet du stress interpersonnel n'a pas été pris en compte. C'est la raison pour laquelle cette thèse étudie l'effet du stress interpersonnel sur l'acceptation de l'offre ainsi que sur la concession. Tout d'abord, la partie théorique examine les émotions dans le concept de négociation et le stress intrapersonnel. La partie méthodologique porte sur un questionnaire relatif à un scénario de négociation avec la perception interpersonnelle du stress. Aucun résultat significatif pour la population générale n'a pu être constaté qu'il existe une différence entre la manière d'agir face à des partenaires de négociation stressés et non stressés. La réponse émotionnelle au stress et le comportement de personnes ayant des orientations différentes en matière de valeurs sociales ont également été étudiés. This research talks about workload stress and how project managers can deal with the employees with workload stress. The workload is one of the major problems in various types of stress at work. This research further proves that workload stress of the employees affects the productivity in a negative way. A qualitative interview with a project manager, quantitative survey of 74 members of a targeted group of IT employees in India. How workload stress management interventions by organizations like leadership of project managers, work recognition of employees, the work balance and well-being, interpersonal relationships among employees are one of the main factors to decrease workload stress. I wanted to prove two hypotheses. With the hypotheses and results, I used the data to provide more detailed information for project managers on how they can deal with the employee’s workload stress which is affecting the productivity of the employees. MALADIE PROFESSIONNELLE ; QUALITE DE VIE AU TRAVAIL ; STRESSRésumé : Burnout is a global phenomenon that is still greatly ignored, yet a very damaging occupational threat to one’s mental health and a proven cause of reduced productivity and seriously affected job satisfaction (Jugdev et al., 2017). Deloitte’s 2015 marketplace survey aimed at investigating the causes and impacts of employee burnout among 1,000 corporate employees in the U.S. returned some rather striking results (Fisher, 2015). Even though 87% of responders admitted that they are passionate about their job, 77% of them also communicated that they have felt the effects of burnout at some point in their career and 91% confessed that unbearable amounts of stress have negative effects on the quality of their work. Moreover, the unexpected Covid-19 pandemic and the series of events it triggered seemed to further worsen the levels of stress and anxiety, two factors which are believed to be directly linked to the development of workplace burnout (Koutsimani et al., 2019). Eddleston and Mulki (2017) asserted that although working remotely (home office) is a more comfortable and very good way of reducing the spread of the virus, it is also worth mentioning that professionals must endure increased workload as they are, simultaneously, workers and caregivers. The World Health Organization (2019) declared that workplace burnout syndrome results from the constant stress that has not been managed appropriately and is since 2018 officially considered to be an occupational syndrome. Nevertheless, Koutsimani et al. (2019) clearly pointed out that burnout should not be mistaken for depression, even though in some areas their psychological effects might be similar. Furthermore, in recent times most studies around workplace burnout have focused on the mental effects of the SARS-COV2 pandemic on front-line medical workers, but none of them has tried to look for factors which can diminish the damaging effects of the burnout syndrome (de Pablo et al., 2020). It is widely considered that taking care of employees' well-being is a mitigator factor regarding workplace burnout. However, Rude (2004) critically declared that providing wellness activities might be beneficial, but if the issue of leadership is not addressed those sole wellness initiatives bring little to no positive effects. Those arguments are also supported by Smith and Rutigliano’s (2003) research which concluded that in 70% of cases, top producers leave companies due to a toxic relationship between them and their direct supervisors. The leadership style that is believed to put the most emphasis on the relationship between managers and employees is Servant Leadership (Rude, 2004). Therefore, the goal of the present study is to research the possible relationship between the workplace burnout syndrome and the servant leadership characteristics. The author of this paper believes that two variables can be built, that can help answer the following question: Can Servant Leadership’s characteristics diminish the levels of Workplace Burnout? To answer this research question, the author employed a quantitative method. The answers have been statistically analyzed and are later critically discussed in this paper. There seem to be enough indicators in the literature review which lead to the idea of a possible correlation between some of the servant leadership characteristics and factors which have been proven to diminish burnout.
