Programme : Cesem Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=581656 Drag shows : marketized cultural products or artistic lgbtqia+ performabces belonging to subcultures ? / Mathilde PIERRE / 2023

INDUSTRIE CULTURELLE SECTEUR ; SPECTACLE ; STANDARDISATIONRésumé : The origins of drag shows are unclear, but they've been around since ancient times: even in ancient times, theater was sacred, and for social and religious reasons, men played female roles - the ancestor of drag shows. Today's drag tradition dates back to the 19th century, with "female impersonators" performed in music halls and then exported to queer bars. The 20th century, thanks to the counterculture movements of the 1960s, enabled the drag movement to assert itself and become
more politicized: drag shows became rooted in queer activism. Then, RuPaul Drag Races marked a new turning point in the 2000s, spreading the movement worldwide and popularizing it. But if drag shows have become a mainstream and popular phenomenon, what remains of their activist DNA? What is a drag show today? This dissertation explores the effects of the popularization of the RuPaul phenomenon on all forms of drag shows today: the impact on the audience, the practices and characteristics of a drag show, and the militant and political discourse. From Madame Arthur's cabarets to the ballrooms of the Gaîté Lyrique, RuPaul Drag Race's drag shows impose an aesthetic that limits the essence of drag shows. However, there is still a drag culture, both artistic and militant, that manages to break free from the standardization of drag shows imposed by the popular drag races.Programme : MSc Cultural & Creative Industries Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=581682 How does k-pop community bonding on twitter contribute to entrepreneuriel activities and build the sense of identity ? / Maéva-Soukeyna DIAGNE / 2023

MUSIQUE ; INDUSTRIE CULTURELLE SECTEUR ; RACISMERésumé : Over the past few years, K-pop has become a global phenomenon, with several groups achieving immense popularity worldwide. However, the portrayal of K-pop in Western media has been noticeably different from that of other artists. This trend highlights a broader perception that K-pop acts and the genre itself are considered outsiders in the Western music industry, especially in the U.S..
Unfortunately, the American media often portrays K-pop under a negative light, emphasizing the differences between K-pop and other music genres through a stereotypical lens. The media's tendency to exoticize K-pop and to perpetuate harmful stereotypes about Asian cultures contributes to the idea that K-pop is a novelty or a gimmick rather than a legitimate
form of music.
Despite K-pop's massive popularity worldwide, it is often presented as a distinct entity rather than an integral part of the music industry. The U.S. media's portrayal of K-pop as a genre that is different from "actual music" reinforces the idea that K-pop is somehow inferior or less authentic than other forms of music. This attitude ignores the diversity and complexity of K-pop as a genre and undermines the hard work and talent of the artists who create it.Programme : MSc Cultural & Creative Industries Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=581677 How musical industry's actors can structure and fund the capital ? / Ladislas ANKAOUA / 2023PermalinkHow to challenge gender inequalities in museums within the French framework of equality? / Elisa PENNANEAC'H / 2023PermalinkL'impact des réseaux sociaux dont Tiktok sur la chaîne de valeur des artistes de l'industrie musicale. / Elyna BRETEL / 2023PermalinkThe ecological impact of NFTs in the art market: analysis of environmental issues and solutions for a more sustainable use. / Clémentine MAY / 2023PermalinkThe evolution of the main character pictured in the French auteur cinema between the 30s, 60s and 90s. / Célia BLANCHARD / 2023PermalinkThe image of women through U.S rap: between inherent misogyny and feminism / Diane KISHTOO / 2023PermalinkThe influence of male sexual orientation in the current conception and practice of dance in France / Mathieu GOMEZ / 2023PermalinkThe influence of sufi culture on the 18th century armenian music and literature / Vardui MINASIAN / 2023PermalinkThe role of artification in experiental marketing for luxury brands / Clara MIRRE / 2023PermalinkLa vie sociale des poètes / Sébastien DUBOIS / Paris : PRESSES DE SCIENCES PO (2023)Permalink
