RESPONSABILITE SOCIALE DE L'ENTREPRISE ; ENTREPRISE ; SECTEUR PRIVE ; SECTEUR PUBLICRésumé : This seminar paper aims to studying the impact of ownership structure on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and value creation. Ownership structure has an impact on company’s decisions and thus on CSR. In line with this, we examine the different theories and links established between ownership structure and CSR in order to be able to understand all the ins and outs.
Then, we focus on the correlation between the different types of ownership structure and CSR activities and value creation through a causal research. The results show that only institutional ownership is correlated (negatively) to CSR. However, these results are biased by the opposite vision between short -term and long-term institutional shareholders in line with CSR.
Finally, to adopt a more global point of view, we make a study case on two companies with the same ownership structure in t he same sector and country but with respectively a private and public ownership. Our results show that both companies have the same CSR considerations and strategies and that the differences are only in terms of scales or tools.
Thanks to this seminar paper, we see that ownership structure has not such an impact on CSR activities and value creation and that CSR depends on other factors.

Note de contenu : Bibliographie p. 75-79 Programme : Cesem Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=499358 The valuation method of intangible assets of start-ups: The strength of the intangible assets of start-ups / Youssef AKHMOUCH / 2019

CHIFFRE D'AFFAIRES ; ENTREPRISE ; START-UPRésumé : My Seminar paper research question was about the valuation method of intangible assets of start-ups and the importance of intangibles. I followed a simple methodology based on both theoretical and practical study, where I started by describing the growing situation of start-ups and their wealth concentration (intangible assets). Then, I developed many theories of evaluating the start-ups in general and how to get a clear value of their intangibles, with both financial and non-financial methods. Finally, I finished my working research by a case study where I discussed the importance of intangibles, and how Facebook knew the real value of WhatsApp which wealth is not based on its financial assets but its goodwill. And that was the main subject of my research question. The methodologies I developed in my research, can help us define the real value of a start-up. BASE DE DONNEES ; EMPLOYE ; ENTREPRISERésumé : It’s been more than thirty years that globalization has changed the rules and especially between the firms. Everything is more connected, there are less and less boundaries and the huge flux between the companies made the competition between them global. Companies must find ways to be competitive and to differentiate themselves from others to survive on the market.
With globalization also came the development of new technologies that helped the companies to gain some efficiency and to use new tools.
Especially, since the years 2010 came a new phenomenon: Big Data. It has been defined in many ways as “unstructured and unrelated data which are hard to analyse” (Ebert, 2017). But, well managed, it can help the firm to improve their productivity and operations. It means that with the new tools and technology devices, we have potentially access to a larger quantity of data. Usually, Big Data is defined by the 3Vs invented by Doug Laney de Gartner in 2001 as Volume, Variety and Velocity. Now, it is commonly extended to the 5Vs: Variety, Velocity, Volume, Veracity and Variability. That means that with these predictive analytics, companies have potentially access to information that will gave them a strategic advantage. According to Mayer and Cukier (2013) in “Big Data: a revolution that will transform the way we live, work and think”, “Data has become a raw material for businesses”. And for the companies, it has been useful in Logistics, Finance and more especially in Marketing, responding to the new trend of the client experience. As it is influencing all the departments of the company, it is naturally that specialists asserted that Big Data will deeply transform Human Resources.Note de contenu : Bibliogr. p.25-26 Programme : PGE-Reims Spécialisation : Human Resources and Consulting Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=485034 Business and Management Practices in South Asia / Vijay PEREIRA / Springer Singapore Pte.
