INTELLIGENCE ARTIFICIELLE ; GESTION DE PATRIMOINE ; TECHNOLOGIE FINANCIERERésumé : The rise of Artificial Intelligence has permitted the emergence of the FinTech industry, which provides digital and automated financial services to business and clients.
In 2020, the COVID-19 has accelerated the need for digitizing in order to make possible for businesses to continue their operations, and the Wealth Management industry had not be spared. The industry was already facing many challenges : Its business model was declining, its industry about to change due to a shift in demographics and the competition was intense between the industry players and new entrants.
As a matter of fact, FinTech firms have started to disrupt the financial services industry, including wealth management, by providing services easy to use, at lower cost, faster, and more appropriate to clients’ needs, compared to the one’s delivered by the traditional services firms.
In this changing environment, traditional wealth managers have to adapt in order to retain their clients and attract new ones.
The purpose of the thesis is to try to understand what changes in the industry are accelerating the rise of WealthTech and AI-driven technologies, and in which extent these changes are going to impact the industry. Since Artificial Intelligence counts a variety of technologies, we are going to focus on some of them and especially Robo-Advisors which are expected to be the most disruptive trend in the industry.Programme : MSc Finance Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=532899 The impact of the 2018 EU-wide stress test results on shareholders’ wealth creation and behavior / Manoly ARCHONDIS / 2020

ACTIONNAIRE ; ECONOMETRIE ; BANQUE ; FINANCE DE MARCHERésumé : Ever since the 2008-2009 financial crisis, many measures were implemented in order to predict and hedge economic and financial systemic risks. Since then, regulators such as the Federal Reserve System (FED) in the United States (US) and the European Banking Authority (EBA) started implementing stress testing processes in order “assess individual banks’ resilience to adverse financial and economic circumstances” [ECB,2019]. “Today, EU-wide stress tests are important inputs for the ECB’s Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process” (SREP). In this paper, we focus on the impact of the 2018 EU-wide stress test results on shareholders’ wealth creation and behavior by computing the Abnormal Returns and checking whether they have a significant effect on the bank’s public stock price. CRITERE D'INVESTISSEMENT ; FINANCE DE MARCHE ; INVESTISSEMENT ; FONDS COMMUN DE PLACEMENTRésumé : In the USA, the emergence of ETFs over the past 20 years simultaneously occurs at the same time as Open-End Mutual Funds downturn. This report describes and analyses to what extent ETFs have influenced this recent Mutual Funds trend. A cross-analysis of their evolutions and ownership was performed and different conclusions have emerged. ETFs turn out to be a substitute of Mutual Funds for specific asset classes and for a particular investor profile and thus, to some extent, contributed to their decline. However, on a general basis, they are imperfect substitutes due to structural differences and inability to deal with the same issues. Thus, the emergence of ETFs simultaneously increased the market completeness by offering new products and services previously unavailable, as well as it created a competition that forced Mutual Funds to improve and to be more sophisticated in specific areas where they remain more efficient. Finally, this resulted in enhanced competitiveness for each investment vehicle that led to a more efficient market for the ultimate benefit of investors.
