CULTURE ; FRANCE ; HISTOIRE ; RESPONSABILITE SOCIALE DE L'ENTREPRISE ; MECENATRésumé : The aim of this seminar paper is to show what the main drivers of corporate philanthropy in France are and to find out whether philanthropy is part of the promotion and valorisation of the territory and its inhabitants.
A literature review will help to understand the history and outlines of corporate philanthropy as well as the tools and the place of philanthropy in the strategy of companies today.
A qualitative study will then answer the research question by examining the themes of territory, image and taxation around corporate philanthropy.
This seminar paper will end with the results of the study and a general discussion.Programme : PGE-Reims Spécialisation : Human Resources and Consulting Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=529101 Does the french exception still make sense today in the audiovisual field / Nathalie GARRON / 2020

MONDIALISATION ; AUDIOVISUEL SECTEUR ; FRANCE ; CINEMA SECTEUR ; CULTURERésumé : France is internationally known for its cinema, which enjoys a prestigious image. This is largely made possible by the French cultural exception, which is defined by the fact that culture is not considered like any other product and is manifested through laws and concrete measures.
Today, technological developments have changed the way culture is consumed and it is increasingly difficult for States to impose measures that go against the GAFA, which has acquired exceptional power.
I chose to conduct a qualitative study on the subject, looking for answers to my questions in the many academic articles published on the subject, conducting an interview and searching through press articles.
While several flaws in this system can be highlighted, it is nevertheless clear that the French cultural exception still exists and still has legitimacy, if only to raise awareness and form an opinion on the new problems inherent in this decade.
My research has also led me to question the power of States, which is challenged by the GAFA and by the quest for profit at all costs. Isn't culture in danger of becoming uniform if it is conditioned by profit?Programme : PGE-Rouen Spécialisation : Cultural and Creative Industries Permalink : https://cataloguelibrary.neoma-bs.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=531018 How France will deal with the ethical issues of cultural corporate philanthropy? / Sarah JOUSSERAND / 2020

CULTURE ; ETHIQUE ; FRANCE ; MECENAT ; OPINION PUBLIQUE ; CULTURE ORGANISATIONNELLERésumé : This document raises the ethical issues of cultural corporate philanthropy in France and attempts to provide solutions. It explains the origin of French people's reluctance on this subject, which once again proves its "cultural exception". It returns to the very French shame of having money, and the idea that culture is the business of the state. Corporate philanthropy has only been able to develop when the State has encouraged it, helped by institutions such as Admical or Fondation de France. A few ethical scandals have shaken sponsorship and it is still little known or understood today. This study tends to deconstruct clichés about sponsorship as a tax niche, the ambiguous motivations of donators and the power of donations. Responsible philanthropy can be established if companies, cultural institutions and the State play the game. It is increasingly part of a Corporate Social Responsibility policy. The company is driven by public opinion but also by its internal employees to take responsibility for its role in society. Faced with a society that is increasingly looking for transparency and meaning, ethics are essential to the proper functioning of cultural corporate philanthropy. ECOLOGIE ; MUSEE ; CULTURE ; POLLUTION ; RESPONSABILITE SOCIALE DE L'ENTREPRISERésumé : This paper highlights the approaches that cultural institutions or any structure having a museal activity of welcoming or conceptualizing temporary art exhibitions can apply to reduce their environmental impact. Therefore, this paper was built after having collected several secondary data coming from different environmental programs, CSR policies, official academic or governmental publications etc. but also after having conducted five qualitative interviews with professionals of the cultural sector (exhibition managers, CSR specialists/managers). It comes out that there is a growing concern in the cultural sector about the environmental impact that their activity produces however the sector is late on tackling it. The first step of measuring the environmental impact is far too often not even took. That is why this paper emphasizes the sources of pollutions created, the ways to measure the impacts and the concrete implementations possible. It stresses on identification, understanding and tackling of the problem.
It is important to mention that this document addresses mainly the case of Parisian cultural institutions, but I believe that some outlines can be also extended to different typologies of temporary exhibitions and out bordered.
