Résumé : |
This article examines the relationship between cognitive age and satisfaction with health information sources. As chronological age seems to have several limitations, a quantitative survey has been conducted forming age groups based on cognitive age to examine satisfaction with the Internet, doctors and specialized health magazines / books as health information sources. 121 people from different backgrounds and ages were asked to answer questions to shed light on the situation.
Different conclusions have been drawn: first, cognitive age seems to have a negative correlation with satisfaction with the Internet as when young people seems to be undecided regarding this source, older adults tend to be dissatisfied with it. Regarding doctors, both age groups are satisfied with them but older adults appear to significantly more satisfied in comparison with the younger groups. Finally, no relationship was identified between cognitive age and satisfaction with specialized health magazines.
