Today companies must have a global responsibility, in which economic and social factors are combined.
This global responsibility must be developed, ensuring the survival of the company itself.
The "trade off" to be respected is represented by the economic balance in the short term and by the achievement of a long-term social consensus. (M.Molteni, 2004)
Profit is a necessary condition for the enterprise developement, but no sufficient, companies must legitimize itself as an institution in the eyes of society.
The company's management is increasingly driven to satisfy social and environmental expectations, as well as the stakeholders.
