Résumé : |
This seminar paper will focus on the question that is the use of marketing and business models for the superstar system in the music industry. The point of this question is to show the different mechanisms which intervene in the making and sustaining of a superstar fame in the music business. Indeed, there are teams in labels working on brand image, targeting, and adapting the product (music) the audience. During this seminar I looked up all the different kind of sources and identified the most reliable ones. The University of Westminster was a good source of information, because many professors make research about the music business today and the superstar in themselves. The University of Berklee is specialized in the music industry and was an incredible source of information. I looked up different books about the subject too. My results confirmed what I expected first, there are tons of strategies in the music business and there is a calculated path towards becoming a superstar. I identified the mechanisms, business models, and strategies to grow an artist into a superstar. I also found the different components of a successful artist and explained that becoming a superstar in the music industry needs strategies and consequent investments.
