Résumé : |
The aim of this study is to investigate the potential relationship between CSR-related compensation and company’s outperformance in the CAC40. Seven companies that adopt long-term mature CSR contingent executive compensation are considered as our key research subjects. Through comparing the stock excess returns and extra-financial ratings of the seven companies from 2009 to 2018 with the remaining CAC40 companies, we find that companies with a mature CSR-related executive compensation are more likely to have outperformance, although the link may be indirect or limited effective. Our research could give some information to those who care about social responsibility and corporate sustainable development. |
