Retailers are relying on technology to meet the ever-increasing demands of modern customers. Shopping today is an experience of pleasure for customers and a process of value creation for businesses. With the advent of reality technologies, retailers are offering Augmented and Virtual reality-enhanced experiences to customers with an aim to enhance the shopping experience and thereby, obtain a larger and loyal customer base. This study examined if these anticipated objectives of retailers in offering such technology-enhanced experiences over digital platforms are met, by studying the customer reactions to these experiences. |
