Résumé : |
Inequalities between men and women often lead to violence and injustice which are interpersonal and structural at various levels. In Africa more women than men choose to become entrepreneurs. In this essay, I am going to wonder to which extent does entrepreneurship provide opportunities for African women to get empowered. Creating their own business is a mean to get economically emancipated and benefits to themselves and the community. But women are facing difficulties in building sustainable and successful businesses. It is then important to tackle gender gaps in the society and to support female entrepreneurs. The plurality of the African continent reveals very different levels of support for women entrepreneurs and examples of successful models. In addition to this, the testimonies of different women throughout the continent will contribute to a better understanding of the benefit and challenges of entrepreneurship. |
