This thesis deals with the role of the school in the prevention of childhood obesity and why it is important that the school plays this role.
We will see from sociological facts that school plays an important role in the socialization of the child. Indeed it is in childhood and adolescence that the individual is formed and acquires his lifestyle. We will also show that school is an ideal place for prevention through its educational capacities and the fact that it affects a very large number of children.
Through a qualitative study done with school teachers, we will study their relationship to obesity and discover what types of actions they put in place in their class to train their students and educate them.
