Résumé : |
This paper aims at addressing this question through the first concerned who demand planners are. To this extent, the research presented is qualitative: it gathers data from 19 demand planners working on fast-changing markets such as food industry, fashion industry or electronic industry. The main take away lessons of this work relate to the perception demand planners have of AI: we learn about their current way of working and about their concerns - fears and appetences. To briefly summarize the findings of this paper, it is relevant to underline that many automated tools are already widely used among demand planners, but few are integrating AI for now. Forecasts are regularly corrected and adjusted thanks to different methods that allow planners to sharpen them regarding the specificities of the product.
To go further in this work and the analysis, the paper will first include a literature review presenting support papers to better understand the general ideas; then the methodology of the research and its goals will be detailed. Finally, results and analysis will be presented to best address the above research question. |
