Résumé : |
France is internationally known for its cinema, which enjoys a prestigious image. This is largely made possible by the French cultural exception, which is defined by the fact that culture is not considered like any other product and is manifested through laws and concrete measures.
Today, technological developments have changed the way culture is consumed and it is increasingly difficult for States to impose measures that go against the GAFA, which has acquired exceptional power.
I chose to conduct a qualitative study on the subject, looking for answers to my questions in the many academic articles published on the subject, conducting an interview and searching through press articles.
While several flaws in this system can be highlighted, it is nevertheless clear that the French cultural exception still exists and still has legitimacy, if only to raise awareness and form an opinion on the new problems inherent in this decade.
My research has also led me to question the power of States, which is challenged by the GAFA and by the quest for profit at all costs. Isn't culture in danger of becoming uniform if it is conditioned by profit? |
