Résumé : |
This document raises the ethical issues of cultural corporate philanthropy in France and attempts to provide solutions. It explains the origin of French people's reluctance on this subject, which once again proves its "cultural exception". It returns to the very French shame of having money, and the idea that culture is the business of the state. Corporate philanthropy has only been able to develop when the State has encouraged it, helped by institutions such as Admical or Fondation de France. A few ethical scandals have shaken sponsorship and it is still little known or understood today. This study tends to deconstruct clichés about sponsorship as a tax niche, the ambiguous motivations of donators and the power of donations. Responsible philanthropy can be established if companies, cultural institutions and the State play the game. It is increasingly part of a Corporate Social Responsibility policy. The company is driven by public opinion but also by its internal employees to take responsibility for its role in society. Faced with a society that is increasingly looking for transparency and meaning, ethics are essential to the proper functioning of cultural corporate philanthropy. |
