The major objective of this paper is to enhance the study analysis of the Impacts on global supply and demand functions of the procurement activities in the supply chain divisions of the Pharmaceutical Industry during the Pandemic. This paper aims to provide a complete overview of the pandemic impacts across the supply chain sectors from the beginning to the present state. Here, I have taken up the pharmaceutical sector to better explain the disruptions faced by the Industries and the end consumers on the increase in demand for the pharma utilities like masks, hand sanitizers, ventilators, etc. and their supply shortages during this crisis, when comparing out with the day to day activities. Because of this pandemic event, what are the eventual industrial impacts which lead to the Shift in the Paradigm was discussed in this paper. The transformation of the procurement activities in their sourcing strategies to deal with this sudden distress of the pandemic was explained with practical industrial solutions. The remedial measures which should be taken to reduce their severity and make the industry attain stability in their demand and supply of crucial products were also proposed to improve the business. |
