This research focuses on the recent innovations and emerging technologies in the fashion retail industry on to the rising use of 3D technologies that can power future retail. The implementation of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technology indicates that there is a strong link between fashion and technology which can enhance customer digital experience. Incorporation of such technology can solve customer problems and allow customers to engage with the products before moving forward with the decision to purchase. COVID-19 has enforced many luxury brands to implement digital technologies due to lockdowns and restrictions. A multiple case analysis has been adopted to analyze the influence of extended reality use and discuss how fashion brands are implementing them to create engaging virtual experiences. |
