Digitisation is one of contemporary society's most important ongoing processes and is significant for the aviation industry, which both influences and is influenced by this development. The purpose of this paper is to analyse different digital technologies of the aviation industry and the conceptual framework of digitalization strategy and implementation. This paper develops a structural literature review drawing on the previous literature, it describes and exemplifies 3D printing, Blockchain, RFID, AR and FR technologies in airline application and identifies implications and proposals for future research. The finding indicates that the proper adoption of digital technologies helps airlines to save cost, improve flight performance and improve customer experience. This thesis provide some dissenting perspectives due to the broad scope of this topic in general. Commercial airlines, in particular, that have demonstrated a low level of digitalization but urgently require adaptation, should properly analyse their strengths and weaknesses in this field. The objective of this thesis is to discuss the advancements in digitalization in the aviation industry and recommend digitalization strategy planning, management, and implementation for the aviation industry in general. |
