The aim of this dissertation is to understand the weaknesses of historical manufacturers in the EV market, the strengths they can capitalize on, and the opportunities they have in the face of new entrants’ arrival on the market.
We will first see that the transition to EVs will render obsolete several of the historical manufacturers’ competitive advantages (Part 1) before we become aware of the competitive advantages that they will still be able to claim in the EV market and the difficulties that all car manufacturers, including new entrants, will face (Part 2). |
