Résumé : |
Culture does not seem to be the major sector adding up carbon emissions – the numbers are small compared to other industries. This is a mistake: culture, to be produced, needs energy, transportation, buildings, nutrition, and those are basic needs of any production. Next, comes the production itself with sets, decorations, costumes, lighting, touring, finally, the audience coming to the shows. All this brings about carbon emissions, so, culture has an impact on climate, and this impact is noticeable. Thus, the question of making the production more eco responsible is crucial in culture as in any other sector.Theatrical production is not an exemption.
That is why the following research question was posed: What approach can one choose to make theatre production more ecological? What issues and challenges, but also opportunities may this change bring about |
