Résumé : |
We all know LVMH, Tesla, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Volkswagen, BNP Paribas, or Coca Cola. All these famous companies operate in different industries. However, they all have a common point. A strong brand? A huge impact on our daily lives? A solid resilience against Covid-19 crisis? No, these are only consequences of their common point. These companies have all adopted an intensive investment policy to build their business. These companies have invested intensively since their inception to keep growing. Basically, we can distinguish two ways to grow a business, and it involves different types of investments. On the one hand, we can bet on internal growth. This means
that sources of growth will be generated and used in the company. On the other hand, companies can bet on external growth. Internal growth strategy takes more time to be implemented and to become rewarding. External growth strategy is faster but usually involves higher investment amounts. When we come to talk about efficiency, and resource
optimization in a process, the idea of integrating Artificial Intelligence sounds like a great one. Implementing smart digital tools could help clients and bankers to optimize their process, and maybe make the right choice. In fact, this technology is nowadays implemented in almost all industries. In the field of finance, we can see its advantage on the financial markets side, while its use remains marginal on the corporate finance side. That is why we are going to try to answer the following question: “Is there a room for artificial intelligence in the M&A process? What would be its advantages and limitations in the analyst role?” |
