Our memoire will explore the different key challenges that the movie industry has faced, with a strong emphasis on digitization and its possible implications for the industry. Through the use of a survey, we have found that although the digital era has given people many more options to watch movies, the movie theater still holds a special place in people’s hearts, which digitization will not be able to destroy. The movie theater has become a place where people go for an experience, and not just to go see a movie like in the past. The industry has suffered major setbacks due to events such as Covid, but we have found that the livelihood of the industry isn’t in danger as a whole, even though consumers mode of viewing has majorly shifted compared to the early 2000’ |
