Supply chain practitioners from the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector know how difficult it is to deal with in-store promotions because of the uncertainty they impose to their supply chains. FMCG refers to products with a short shelf life because of the continuous need for these products in the consumers’ daily lives and/or because they are perishable (Will Kenton et al., 2021). In this paper, we concentrate on FMCG producing companies whose products are first sold to retailers, before reaching hypermarkets and supermarkets’ customers. |
