Résumé : |
Just in time is a lean concept which was initially started in Toyota Motor Corporation. It is majorly practiced in the automobile sector. Although it has numerous advantages, it has one major problem that has to be addressed—the shocks. This thesis concentrates on the ways in which just in time can be implemented reducing the
supply and demand shocks.
Interview was opted as the research method. Professionals from the supply chain department were chosen and were given a detail questionnaire which was prepared after observing the end-to-end process in a bulk-manufacturing automotive industry. The questionnaire was passed to the participants through social media. As most of the questions were long type, it was very useful to derive the factors that needs to be considered to foresee any disruption in supply chain earlier than it occurs.
Conclusions are derived from the results of the questionnaire, and it is the final section of this research. |
