The "double reduction" policy is a policy that focus on reducing the burden of homework and after-school training for students in the stage of compulsory education in China, mainly aimed at the chaos in China's K12 education industry. The author of this paper mainly explores the impact of the Double Reduction policy on education industry in China through the different market reactions of education companies with different K12 business proportions in different stock markets to the publication of this policy.In the research of this paper, the author used the research method of event study and found that the policy had a great impact on China's K12 education industry and increased the political risk of these companies. Many companies experienced the process of stock price decline, management change, layoff, business transformation and so on. |
