Working in engineering recruitment, I have noticed the gap between men and women. Indeed, most of our candidates are men and even in our workforce, we find few women engineers. From this observation I think we can ask ourselves the question: Can we feminise the world of engineering? Feminisation is the action of making something more feminine. To answer this question, I will first present to you how this environment is still very prejudiced. Then I will tell you about the changes that are trying to be implemented and the results obtained. And finally, I will try to explain why it would be good to feminise the engineering world. |
