The 18th century Armenia witnessed the appearance of an “esthetic standard in Armenian culture” through the art of Sayat-Nova who has become “the symbol of perfection of ashugh song art”. (Yernjakyan, 2019) Since the 5th century Armenia was divided between east and west which resulted in a cultural difference building on centuries of according cultural interchange. The “Iranization” of eastern Armenia in 1508-1828, in its turn, resulted in the renaissance of Armenian national music. |
